Blood Orange Margaritas

Sweet, vibrant blood orange margaritas are a fun twist on the classic cocktail which will make any occasion feel that far more special.

There’s been such a lot happening within the past week and a half. My sister was pregnant together with her second child and when she visited determine the gender at her last appointment, she discovered she had a tired placenta (what the heck does that even mean??) and therefore the doctors wanted to induce her before the baby became stressed. The baby wasn’t due for a touch over a month and nobody was really that prepared for this to happen. therefore the entire family was scrambling to end painting the new nursery and buy every single baby item known to man and seek out all pajama and sock her sister ever wore.

Since I work from home and technically have the foremost flexible schedule, i used to be also on babysitting duty with my niece which was fine during the weekend, but nearly impossible during the weekdays when my very own daughter features a strict bedtime and faculty . I don’t skills my sister goes to try to to it with two babies only 11 months apart. Especially now that the 11 month old is into absolutely everything and always trying to urge into some quite trouble.

She had the baby early Tuesday morning. Oh my gosh, you guys, she is simply the sweetest little baby. She is so tiny and chubby and excellent in every way. i'm obsessed. Luckily for my sister she also rarely cries, but when she does, her older baby likes to undertake and outcry her like it’s a contest . Fun times (but a minimum of I don’t need to affect it!).

So i'm celebrating with these blood orange margaritas this weekend. I made these margs just before all of this happened and fell crazy so i feel i'm getting to have it on repeat for a short time . This particular recipe for blood orange margaritas may be a more classic thanks to make it, but i'm also including a recipe for a jalapeno simple syrup you'll also add for a touch of spice. albeit you aren’t that into spice, slightly of the jalapeno syrup adds a very nice tingle within the back of the throat if you add just slightly .
